Glass and Ashes

Working with peoples ashes has been pretty powerful for us at Lumel Studios.

My daughter died from leukemia at the age of 19, so I have strong connections and an understanding of grieving and loss. I have learned through experience that there is healing in fire and heat…there is no way to quantify that statement, yet somehow it is true.

As pieces are created at the studio we all feel a wonderful thumbs up from the people whose ashes we are working with. Jamie’s dad, Donna’s mom, Laura’s sister…the list goes on and on.

Many who have passed on would marvel at the fact that they are hanging out at a glass blowing studio in the Yukon. You might find that concept strange, but somehow it works in a powerful way.
